With keyseq, you can use key-sequence style shortcuts (like VSCode, Emacs) to launch an app. e.g. type control+space, then F to open Finder. (no need to hold control key) You can even use a modifier key as the first key. e.g. Press and release Command key, then S to open Safari. In addition to launching an app, you can open links, send notifications, and run an AppleScript file. Opening a file or a folder with a specific application is also supported.
