Mandaic is a southeastern Aramaic language in use by the Mandaean community, traditionally based in southern parts of Iraq and Iran, for their religious books. Classical Mandaic is still used by Mandaean priests as a liturgical language, and it is the language of their holy scriptures, including Ginz Rba (the Great Treasure).
