The Columban Way is an ancient pilgrimage route that crosses Europe and follows the footsteps of the abbot Columbanus from Ireland, his native land, to Bobbio, home of the famous abbey he founded in the heart of the Apennines. The route runs from the Swiss border of Villa di Chiavenna, along the Sentiero del Viandante (Wayfarer's Path) to Lecco and Milan and then to Bobbio and to the cave of San Michele di Coli.
