OpenFlow is a Mac app for the hydraulics of open channels, for practising engineers and for students taking the course. UNIFORM FLOW Describe a channel and solve Manning's equation for the value you don't have: discharge, water depth, bed slope, Manning's n, base width or pipe diameter. Rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, parabolic, circular and irregular (surveyed) sections. Results include the flow area, wetted perimeter, hydraulic radius, top width, velocity, Froude number, critical depth and the flow regime, with a rating curve and a drawing of the section.
