The Revised Standard Version (RSV) is a modern English translation of the Bible, first published in 1952. It aims to preserve the best of the King James tradition while incorporating advances in biblical scholarship and textual discoveries. The RSV is known for its accuracy, literary quality, and balance between literal translation and readability. It includes the Old and New Testaments, with an Apocrypha option, and has been widely used in churches, academic settings, and personal study for its clarity and reverence.
