Your city is the game board. Retropolis turns the real map around you into a turf war: the cafés, bakeries and bars of your neighbourhood become buildings you can buy, upgrade and cash in. Other players see your buildings, and you see theirs. A Hold-up card robs their till. A Sabotage card makes them pay for repairs, or the building goes to auction. Then they come for yours.
