Surfyx's gameplay is divided into three areas: the sky, the sea, and the underwater. The sky area features birds of prey flying freely and randomly appearing oxygen bubbles. The sea surface area presents obstacles such as logs, buoys, and floating seaweed. The underwater area is home to marine creatures like sharks and octopuses. Players control their fish using a joystick to move freely within the sea, and a button to make the fish jump.
