The device you need can be broadcasting nearby under a name you do not recognize. Start a scan where you expect it, filter and sort the live devices, then watch its Signal (RSSI) respond as you move. The active list refreshes every half-second with available names, inferred types, manufacturers, and RSSI. A device disappears after 12 seconds without another broadcast, so the list stays centered on the radio environment right now instead of becoming a permanent packet record.
