Bluff, trap, capture the flag

Everybody knows how to play rock paper scissors. Now play it with an army: 12 fighters, each holding a weapon only you can see, and a flag your opponent must never find. Across the board your opponent sees 12 identical soldiers. They have no idea which one is rock, which is paper, which is scissors, and you know just as little about theirs. So you advance one square at a time, read the way they move, let them believe your scissors are a rock, bury a trap where nobody is looking, and hunt for the flag they hid.
