Signal Jam is a one-finger timing game. A needle sweeps around a dial and a band lights up on the ring. Tap while the needle is inside the band to score. Tap too early, or let the needle pass the band, and the run ends on the spot. There is no continue, no revive, no shield and no free tap. Every run ends on your first mistake, so every hit is one you earned. The difficulty comes from a curve with a fairness floor. The dial speeds up and the band narrows as your score climbs, but past thirty hits it stops tightening and holds steady. A timing game that accelerates forever stops testing skill …
