Empty space is a resource. Spend it, don't waste it. THE LAST SPACE is a calm but unforgiving placement puzzle. You must fill every cell on the board. Leave a single one stranded and the level is over. EVERY LEVEL IS SOLVABLE Levels aren't generated randomly and left to chance. They're solved first, then taken apart. The pieces you're given fill the board exactly, guaranteed by construction. If you lose, it was your move, not bad luck.
