The Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease at Johns Hopkins has developed this app to provide automated calculation of LDL cholesterol by the method published by Martin and colleagues in the Journal of the American Medical Association (doi:10.1001/jama.2013.280532). The inputs are the three direct measures from the standard lipid profile: total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
