My Melody

By Philippe GUILLAUD on AppTrack Ninja.

The melody of your first name

Every first name has a melody. My Melody finds yours. Type your first name and your date of birth. The date picks one of seven scales; each letter of your name becomes a note of that scale, and the notes vote for one of six modes — Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian or Aeolian. Composer and pianist André Manoukian wrote the music for every mode and every length of name; your letters are set into his melody and the piano plays it back, with André at the keyboard in the film. WATCH YOUR NAME PLAY As the melody plays, the staff lights up note by note, with the letter of your name above…
