The MacDx app is designed for iPhone, iPad and iMac to measure dark adaptation of the macula to discover either active or a tendency for maculopathy. Delayed macular dark adaptation to light is a sign of possible disease. Macular dark adaptation testing is in addition to currently administered macular tests and does not duplicate any part of the usual eye examination. MacDx® does not diagnose or treat eye diseases which is the responsibility of eye care professionals.
