As per the recent notification by the Road Transport and Highways Ministry, All government vehicles older than 15 years will be de-registered and scrapped. Furthermore, any private vehicle will need to undergo mandatory fitness tests to keep themselves operational on roads. In this regard, the intent of the government is to promote emission control as well as facilitate individuals and institutions to procure vehicles with more fuel efficiency, less emissions, and higher road safety standards.
