That is the whole game right there: not where the piece in your hand will go, but whether the two behind it will still have room when their turn comes. A row or column clears the moment it fills, and nothing on the grid moves by itself, so the board only ever changes where you change it. Clear on back-to-back turns and a combo builds, with each step raising what the next clear is worth.
