Hexgeist is a native Mac hex editor for the moment a file stops being obvious. Open a binary and see both the bytes and the shape of the file. The persistent Spectral Map shows structure, entropy, text-heavy and zero-heavy regions, your viewport, selections, bookmarks, search matches, and differences in one strip. Select one to eight bytes and Bit Lab lets you inspect every bit, stage changes, and preview the resulting hex, signed, and unsigned values before applying a single undoable overwrite.
