Genetic breeding puzzle

A creature needs to be made. The professor wants one that flies and swims, but doesn't quack. He's not joking. You're in a lab. Animals sit on the shelves — a lion, an eagle, a duck, a penguin, a tardigrade somewhere in the back. You pick two, breed them, and see what you get. The hybrid inherits traits from both parents, but only by the rules of actual genetics. Dominant traits always pass when one parent has them. Recessive traits pass only if both parents have them.
