Re_Helios

By MATTEO PIRAS on AppTrack Ninja.

A scanning spectroheliograph does not photograph the Sun — it photographs its *spectrum*, one thin north–south strip at a time, while the disk drifts across the slit. Each frame of the video is the spectrum of one strip. Reading the intensity along a chosen spectral line, frame after frame, rebuilds the disk as it appears at that single wavelength: hydrogen-alpha, calcium K, sodium D, helium D3, or anything else the grating can reach. Re_Helios does that reconstruction and everything around it.
