The seafloor mining platforms went dark when the Bloom came up out of the trench. You are the last light crew. Bolt guns to the deck plating, weave the tunnels they have to crawl through, and hold the light until the evacuation sub surfaces. TRENCHLIGHT is an open-field maze tower defense. You don't defend a fixed path - you build it. Every turret is also a wall, so where you place it decides the route the Crawl has to walk.
