There is one rule that makes this a game and not a shooting gallery: you only have so many balls. Shatterway is a first-person physics runner. You drift forward down a corridor of glass. You throw steel balls at what is in your way. The glass comes apart in real physics — every shard thrown from the point you hit it. Miss, and that ball is gone. Let a pane reach you, and it costs you ten. Crystals are the only way to get more. That is the whole tension, and it is why a level you finished can still be played better.
