A bar is always 4 cells. In this game the straight piece only ever comes 4 cells long. Nothing longer exists. Want a long one? Bank it. 4 + 4 + 4 = 12. What you bank survives a line clear. So there is only one question left: fire now, or hold out for twelve? [BANKING] When a bar drops, the HOLD button lights up. Each one adds 4, then 8, 12, 16, up to 20. While you bank, fill the rows and leave a single column open. The longer you hold, the more lines go at once. [THE RUSH BUTTON] You never have to rotate a long bar into place by hand.
