Two players write one sentence together, one word per turn. Each of you holds a secret word. Steer the sentence until yours fits naturally — play it, and if the whole thing still reads as real English, you win. But say your opponent's secret word, ever, and you lose on the spot. Relay is a duel conducted entirely in one sentence. A turn takes about ten seconds: read the sentence as it stands, add one word to the end, and hand it back. Games run on 48-hour clocks, so a match unfolds in the gaps of your day — over lunch, in a queue, before bed — and most players keep a few going at once. Every …
