Water in your iPhone speaker? If the sound is muffled, Water Eject plays a 15-second low-frequency sound sweep to help push water from the main speaker grille. How it works 1. Turn your volume all the way up. 2. Hold your iPhone with the main speaker facing down. 3. Place a paper towel underneath. 4. Tap Eject Water. The app plays a 200 Hz to 120 Hz sound sweep for 15 seconds. The speaker membrane vibrates during the sweep, helping push water droplets out through the grille.
