One tree in every row. One in every column. One in every plot. And no two trees may ever touch. That is the whole puzzle, and the rest is working out where they go. The board is divided into coloured plots, drawn with a real boundary rather than left to colour alone. Marking ground as cleared matters as much as planting: most of the reasoning here is about ruling squares out, so cleared ground is a mark of its own.
