One bark, and every sheep on the meadow takes a step. All of them. At the same time. Your sheepdog dashes around the fence and barks, and the whole flock trots the other way, one square each. Sheep stop at fences, rocks and each other, so you use the field itself to nudge them into line. Then march every last lamb through the one-way gate into the pen.
