To use the application, the user must have a Medtronic patient connector. Additionally, the functionality of the application (interrogating, programming, viewing reports and ECG) cannot be accessed without a prescribed medical device (Reveal LINQ and LINQ II). During both the insertion and follow-up, the Medtronic patient connector communicates with the implantable device. The patient connector also communicates using Bluetooth with the mobile tablet in order for the application to display the implantable device data.
